It also provides the perfect opportunity for your web team to come and learn more about the accessibility issues that those with disabilities face when trying to use your site. Seeing someone struggle to understand the ALT text that you have written is a powerful teaching tool.

However as a website has such a wide audience of users with different needs it is important to combine user testing with an accessibility audit, to ensure that the guidelines are adhered to and your site complies with current recommendations.
