This subject specific site employs a newsletter style of navigation. Supporting a series of 15 different books on law, the site includes a members forum where users can discuss their exams and share revision tips. Other interesting features included Flash animation, podcasts, and a password protection system that allowed the publisher to maintain an email database with which to contact users with new product updates and information. Major textbook publishers have struck deals with third party iphone/ipod touch developers to adapt their textbooks for the electronic page. This could be the clearest indication yet that the industry is ready to embrace digital devices and that Apple's ipad could be at the forefront of this transformation. So far McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin, Pearson and Kaplan have signed deals with ScrollMotion Inc to build new applications for assessment, revision and teaching around their content. Rik Kranenburg from McGraw-Hill's higher education unit said: “People have been talking about the impact of technology on education for 25 years.
