Learning Trust Hackney research case study

Email Print PDF

Objectives
The Learning Trust was keen to hear the views of parents and pupils regarding changes to education within Hackney. It wanted to assess the impact of its work and where improvements could be made.

Methodology
The work had three strands:

  • 400 telephone interviews with parents, conducted in 7 different languages.
  • 7 focus groups with parents.
  • 7 focus groups with pupils.

Results
The Learning Trust was able to benchmark its work against that of similar organisations. It used the research to identify areas for improvement and needs within the community. It was then able to target its services to meet the needs of parents and pupils.

"Working with Shift Media was an absolute pleasure. The team were meticulous in their planning and they really took time to understand our needs. The final report is an invaluable document which has provided us with a wealth of information."

What our customers say about us

" We selected Shift Learning (formerly Shift Media) as we were impressed with their track record and work undertaken for other blue chip clients. The project we asked them to work with us on paved the way for an innovative content solution, and enabled us to build competitive advantage in the sale of BTEC products to the education market. "
