NCFE research into E-Portfolios case study

Objectives
NCFE was keen to obtain insight into the take-up of e-portfolio systems in their centres. They wanted to investigate the need and potential requirements for such a system.

Methodology
In-depth telephone interviews were conducted with 20 heads of department. An email survey was sent to a further 5,000 NCFE centres and the results analysed.

Results
NCFE was able to access valuable data on the use of e-portfolio systems in their centres, including their centre’s needs and any potential barriers to adopting. This information has proved useful in assessing future plans to adopt an e-portfolio system.
