Comparison of the Usability and Effectiveness of Different Point-of-Care Electronic systems for BMJ

Email Print PDF
Objectives
BMJ were keen to compare different point-of-care electronic resources available to clinical professionals, both from a usability point of view and in order to assess the quality of the results.

Methodology
In-depth interviews were conducted with 35 medical professionals in which various systems were tested. A focus group was also held with 8 participants.

Results
BMJ was able to determine the effectiveness of different systems when used in real clinical scenarios. This was also an opportunity for medical professionals to provide feedback to BMJ on their requirements from such systems. This information has proved invaluable in BMJ’s future planning and development work.

What our customers say about us

" I can't thank Helene and the team at Shift Learning enough for the excellent work carried out on such a major research project. From the start, the project has been managed and planned with great expertise and knowledge. The attention to detail, ability to shift gear as we went along as necessary and to provide updates all along the way has been second to none. The final reporting and presentation has provided much more than we had originally hoped for this project, giving us a wealth of detailed knowledge analysis and understanding of the market place and project which will be invaluable to the team here and for product development. I would whole-heartedly recommend Shift Learning for future market research projects and it has been a pleasure to work with Helene and the team. "
