Email Print PDF

Wiley-Blackwell was formed in February 2007 through the merger of Blackwell Publishing and John Wiley & Sons. Partnering with more than 800 academic, medical and professional societies, Wiley-Blackwell publishes over 500 books each year and has more than 6,000 books in print.

One way in which Shift Learning assists Blackwell Publishing is by acting as an outsourced development department for some of Blackwell’s Higher Education textbooks in business, social science and humanities. This service includes the following activities:

- Market mapping
- Competitive grids
- Telephone interviews
- Commissioning reviews
- Line edits and the creation of ideal chapters
- Author management
- Batch reviewing
- Commissioning and editing on ancillary materials

"Playing a key role in the successful development of many of our major textbooks, we have received consistently valuable feedback from Shift Media.”
Elizabeth-Ann Johnston, Wiley-Blackwell

What our customers say about us

" We’ve worked with Shift Learning (formerly Shift Media) on a number of projects now and have always been really impressed by their understanding of what we are trying to achieve, their creative suggestions to getting our customers to respond to the real issues, and their intelligent feedback and suggestions based on what the customers said, and what they really meant! All the projects have been immensely helpful in helping us decide on business strategy and product development. "
