Objective
King’s College London wanted a thorough analysis of their online marketing activity for their Department of War Studies Online distance learning masters degrees. They needed professional advice on their social media strategy, search engine ranking and website usability.
Methodology
The project comprised:
• An analysis of the marketing messages on the websites
• An examination of the site to improve its visibility to search engines
• Keyword research
• A review of how social media strategies can be implemented
Results
We were able to identify areas of the current site where work could be done to improve its search engine ranking. Our research produced a list of keywords which best matched those being searched for by potential students and we offered advice on keyword placement for the greatest impact. Liaison with different stakeholders within King’s College London, and with outside agencies, was undertaken. War Studies Online also received concrete recommendations on how best to implement their social media strategy.
"Shift Learning produced an excellent report for me. I wanted advice in several different areas, SEO, website effectiveness, keyword choice, and our paid-for ad campaigns. These had to be linked to our masters degrees programme needs, but also the Department’s, and keying in with College requirements. Shift listened carefully and supplied the services I required extremely well. I would recommend Shift highly."
