With a First in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, Laurie uses his background in communications to drive the quality of deliverables and works closely with the team to transform research findings into meaningful and understandable reports.
He has project managed a variety of projects since joining the team: interviewing education professionals from as far afield as China and the USA, conducting online usability tests, and delivering engaging presentations to clients with video and audio recordings.
Prior to joining Shift Learning, Laurie developed copywriting and research skills on marketing projects with a variety of different organisations including eCommerce agencies, film crews and recruitment advertising specialists. He also worked in the internal marketing department of a major UK university, gaining essential first-hand knowledge of the needs of the HE sector. He believes that Education is unlike any other sector and enjoys knowing that the research he conducts directly impacts the futures of teachers and learners both nationally and internationally.
Laurie holds the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research.
