Over the last four years, Shift Learning has completed a number research projects for City & Guilds, helping them to develop competitive qualifications and products that meet the needs of an ever-changing market.
We have worked on projects across a number of their key markets, helping them to better understand the needs of consumers. This has provided clear evidence-based recommendations on marketing and communications, qualification development and the development of online products that support students studying towards their qualifications.
Our approach and methodology
We have used a number of different methodologies, adapting our research methods to the needs and required outcomes of each particular project.
These have included:
- In-depth telephone interviews with key education leaders, such as heads of department and stakeholders in various qualification types.
- International interviews, conducted across seven different countries, helping City & Guilds to understand the needs of different demographics in their market.
- Focus groups with key education leaders and stakeholders, often held across multiple locations in the UK.
- Pilot testing of new products across key centres, with usability analysis.
