  • Qualitative analysis
  • Reporting and presentation

A highly experienced qualitative researcher, Rebecca joined Shift in 2011, and enjoys working closely with clients to create and deliver truly bespoke research projects to meet their needs.

Both supervising and directing projects from start to finish (UK and international), Rebecca works hard to get to grips with the clients’ objectives, ensuring that their needs are fully met, and that clear recommendations can be made at the close of the project.

Her personable nature means that she’s an excellent focus group and workshop moderator, as well as an engaging depth interviewer. As part of her role she has also managed many members of the team supporting them through their journeys from Research Assistant through to Research Manager. She is presently responsible for line managing Research Assistants – working with the team to ensure that a clear training programme is put into place and that new starters feel comfortable and supported at Shift.

Prior to joining Shift Learning Rebecca worked as the editor of both Puffin Post literary magazine for children, and Puffin Book Club – in addition to writing web and catalogue copy for other areas of The Book People – including CiTV’s Bookaboo and the Guardian’s Book Club.

She also holds a PGCE in English and Drama from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge and spent a number of years teaching the subjects before moving into publishing. This means that she has a great understanding of the education sector from the inside.

Rebecca has worked closely with a number of clients during her time at Shift Learning, including Oxford University Press, the Association for Project Management, LEGO Education, UAL: London College of Fashion, Capstone Raintree, Pearson, AAT, The BMJ and City & Guilds.

Rebecca holds the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research.
