As our Editor/Writer, Kate casts her critical eye over most of the reports and presentations we produce, helping us tell engaging and enlightening stories.
Working alongside our research teams, she offers a fresh perspective that considers our varied audiences, including the time pressures on our clients, which call for clear and concise language. While being our editorial safety net and sounding board, Kate also writes for the website and other marketing materials, helping Shift Learning to do itself justice.
Kate has an English degree from Oxford University and has spent more than a dozen years as a content producer, writer and editor within the education and not-for-profit sectors. From pharmaceutical training to informal learning, and early-years reading to end-of-life care, Kate has immersed herself in diverse subjects and written for people of all backgrounds.
She also spent six months as a primary teaching assistant while pregnant with her son, giving her frontline experience of education and personal insights into the challenges faced by many of Shift Learning’s respondents.
