Rachel manages both small and large-scale qualitative and quantitative projects, involving workshops, telephone interviews and eSurveys with learners, educators and professionals, nationally and internationally. Clients include, among many others, Cambridge International Examinations, the European Society of Cardiology, University of Arts London and the Association for Project Management. Her regular first hand contact with audience groups, gained through work on numerous qualitative projects, gives her the opportunity to speak to people from across the education sector in the UK and internationally giving her a sound contextual knowledge of educational challenges and priorities for global audiences.
Rachel is skilled at communicating with respondent groups, with a particular skill for moderating groups with young people where her relaxed and engaging style puts the groups at ease and draws honest and open responses from respondents. Rachel is also adept at the design and creation of complex and large-scale quantitative research projects, using SNAP software, as well as helping transform the results into meaningful graphs and tables for final reports.
Prior to joining Shift Learning, Rachel studied English Literature at the University of Manchester and worked in television production. She holds the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research (Exam: Merit), and a previous Distinction for the MRS Certificate in Market and Social Research.
